CONTROLLER WONT TURN A STATION OR PROGRAM ON?
1) Does the controller have power?
- Firstly check to see that the controller has power.
- Check the screen is on if it has one, check the power point is switched on or the RCD in the power box is on if it is a Hard-Wired Unit.
- If the controller has power but is not supplying power to the terminals or the screen is off check the fuse.
If the above has not worked or you want more detailed instructions refer to DIAGNOSING ELECTRICAL ISSUES for more information.
2) Is the controller programmed?
- Double check the controller programming. Often a station may not have been assigned a ‘run-time’.
- Also check the program to ensure it has a ‘start-time’ and ‘watering day’, missing these the program simply will not run.
Refer to the owner’s manual for programming instructions. Owner’s manuals can be found here “OWNERS MANUALS“.
3) Check the controller operation / outputs.
- Run the station manually from the controller.
- Deactivate any sensors at the controller.
- Test the voltage output for the station with a voltmeter. (~24 Volts AC). If the controller is an SRC, check the fuse and replace if necessary.

4) Check the valve / wiring.
- Make sure the valve is operating normally by turning the solenoid 1/2″ turn counter-clockwise. Turning the solenoid will turn the valve on manually. Turn the solenoid clockwise until snug to turn off the valve.

- If the valve will not turn on manually, check the water supply to the valve.
- If the valve will turn on manually, test the solenoid operation. The solenoid Ohms resistance should be approximately between 25 and 35 Ohms.
